The archaeological works has now finished with evidence of Roman age agricultural activity and possibly glass manufacturing being found.

The findings include pottery, some glass beads, possible agricultural enclosure ditches and postholes, and small pieces of waste slag.

The main concentration of archaeological remains were within the southern field of the site with fewer features in the surrounding area.

The pottery includes Greyware and Samian fragments which date back to the Roman period and are generally associated with cooking and food serving.

The waste slag, glass beads and glass waste indicates that some form of industrial activity such as glass or metal working was taking place on or near the site.

No Second World War ordnance was found.

Further analysis of the findings is still taking place and a report will be submitted to Bristol City Council. Further archaeological work is likely ahead of any build.
