New Kissing Gates Being Installed to Help Deter Motorcycle Access

During week commencing 8th April, Homes England will be carrying out the installation of three kissing gates, a field gate and a new post and rail fence along their boundary on Bonville Road. The works will help deter motorcycles accessing the field in the north east of Brislington Meadows.

Public Footpath Update

Homes England has applied for an order to stop up and divert, as Public Rights of Way (PROWs), the existing trodden paths across the site. This is needed due to the potential conflict between the current routes and the areas of development approved under the outline planning permission.

There will be no physical alteration to the existing paths until a Reserved Matters planning application is approved (anticipated to be submitted in Summer 2025) and development starts in 2026...

Autumn Grass Cutting

Grass cutting will be taking place in the next few week at Brislington Meadows. This is part of a two-year rotation plan, with half of each field cut each year. This will maintain structural diversity in the grassland, will control scrub encroachment and will leave winter habitat for invertebrates and slow worms. Cutting is intended to be completed during a period of suitable weather over the autumn or winter.

New concrete barriers installed

Following a recent incident, Homes England has installed new concrete blocks on the Broomhill Road and Bonville Road boundary to prevent unauthorised vehicular access onto Brislington Meadows.
